This year is extra-special, being <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pre-raphaelitesociety.org\/society.htm\">The Pre-Raphaelite\u00a0Society&#8217;s<\/a> 25th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in September 1988 (I was two!), the Society&#8217;s Review remains a great source of information and discussion &#8211;\u00a0keeping the PRB as fresh and relevant as the day half a dozen boys got together in Millais&#8217; living room and wondered if &#8216;brotherhood&#8217; would make them sound like the clergy.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, I voted for the 1860 Regina Cordium. I love the way Lizzie&#8217;s red beads cascade over her sickly green flesh; the queen of hearts languishing in a respiratory clinic.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3515\" alt=\"Regina-cordium-1860\" src=\"http:\/\/verityholloway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Regina-cordium-1860.jpg\" width=\"399\" height=\"469\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tweet <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PreRaphSoc\">@PreRaphSoc<\/a>\u00a0with the hashtag #PRBDay\u00a0and vote for your favourite Pre-Raphaelite painting.
